Japan — From Tokyo to Kyoto and the mountains of the central island

Itinerary
Asia

Day 1 - Departure to Tokyo

Your adventurous journey to the Land of the Rising Sun begins.

Asia

Day 2 - Another planet called Tokyo

Arrival in Tokyo, the largest city in Japan and perhaps on the planet. First steps through streets that never sleep and the first personal encounter with unique Japanese culture.

Tokyo is not just a huge metropolis full of neon lights and skyscrapers, but a city of thousands of stories and hidden corners. Alongside famous landmarks, we’ll take you to places ordinary tourists rarely visit – bars that have shone in movies, neighborhoods where Tokyo residents themselves love to go, and a stadium where you’ll feel the electrifying atmosphere of Japan’s most popular sport – baseball.

Asia

3.-4. Day 3 - History and the present

Tokyo is a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity. We’ll visit historic Asakusa with the famous Sensō-ji temple, the Imperial Gardens – a quiet oasis in the middle of the bustling metropolis – and the iconic Shibuya Crossing, where thousands of people from around the world meet every day. In Shinjuku, we’ll discover the Golden Gai bar district, where dozens of tiny bars with an unforgettable atmosphere hide in narrow alleys. Experience the contrast between history and the present, from temple gates to neon-lit streets, and let yourself be drawn into a pulsating metropolis that never sleeps.

Asia

Day 4 - Where will we go?

You’ll also have a free day to explore Tokyo on your own – you can visit fascinating museums, dive into the world of electronics and pop culture in legendary Akihabara, or relax on the futuristic Odaiba island. And for those who want to experience something exceptional, there’s an optional trip to sacred Mount Fuji. Its perfectly symmetrical cone will captivate you even from afar – no wonder it has become one of Japan’s main symbols.

Asia

Day 5 - By Shinkansen to the south of the country

Departure by Shinkansen to Hiroshima. These legendary “trains of the future” race at speeds up to 320 km/h and are among the most punctual in the world – their average delay is measured in mere seconds. In Hiroshima, we’ll walk through the city center and visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, a symbol of peace and a place where time stands still as a memorial to the tragedy of World War II.

Asia

Day 6 - The famous torii gate

We’ll continue to Miyajima Island, known for its narrow streets, traditional wooden houses, and the famous shrine gate that appears to float on water. Deer roam freely here, adding to the unforgettable atmosphere. A mood of nostalgia will transport you to another time, where history gently blends with the nature and tranquility of the island.

Asia

Day 7 - How much did you eat today?

By Shinkansen to Osaka. We’ll walk around the famous Osaka Castle, which recalls the era of the samurai, and then visit the iconic Umeda Sky Building, a place where history meets the pulsating modern metropolis. Osaka will charm you with its contrast of traditional architecture, bustling streets, and modern skyscrapers, while you can also enjoy the atmosphere of local markets and famous culinary specialties.

Asia

9.-10. Day 8 - The Capital city of the past

We’ll continue with a transfer to Kyoto, the former imperial city that is the heart of Japan’s spiritual and historical identity. We’ll visit the magnificent Golden Pavilion, peaceful Zen temples, stone gardens, and walk along the famous Philosopher’s Path. In Kyoto, the past blends with the present, and its unique atmosphere will draw you into the world of traditional Japanese culture.

Asia

Day 9 - The most beautiful Japanese village

Transfer to Takayama through the picturesque mountainous regions of Japan. We’ll travel on one of the country’s most scenic railways, offering breathtaking views of the Japanese Alps, deep valleys, winding rivers, and ancient samurai castles. Along the way, we’ll admire green hills and historic wooden merchant houses from the Edo period, before finally arriving in the charming and historic town of Takayama, which has preserved the atmosphere of past centuries.

Asia

Day 10 - Olympic games

After visiting Takayama, we’ll continue with a transfer to Nagano, the city made famous by the Winter Olympics. In addition to its sporting history, we’ll visit an important Buddhist temple from where the teachings of Buddhism began to spread in this region. Nagano offers a blend of cultural depth, historic landmarks, and the atmosphere of a modern Japanese metropolis set in a mountainous environment.

Asia

Day 11 - This is where Buddhism began in Japan

Visit to the Zenkō-ji Buddhist temple and final steps through the streets of Nagano. In the afternoon, transfer to Tokyo’s airport and farewell to Japan.
